The HDCS FlexSafe Cloud is a unique service that leverages the Horizon Flexsourcing model with a highly secure, virtualized computing enviroment. FlexSafe Cloud allows our clients to use the very best computing power in the industry, on-demand, with a scalability that cannot be achieved in a traditional hardware centric model.
The FlexSafe Cloud provides clients with virtualized computing power, storage capabilities and DR solutions all within a secure, highly available and redundant architecture.
IaaS
The FlexSafe Cloud solution rests on a foundation of an industry leading infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) platform. Horizon FlexSafe Cloud infrastructure resides in new, Tier III (with Tier IV attributes) data centers. Horizon then commissions buried-fiber, private DWDM, carrier-grade networks to connect the data centers to one another (and the world).
Horizon then adds a highly-available (HA) firewall, load balancing, and switching fabric that provides hundreds of thousands of concurrent session capabilities with the ability to shift loads between physically separated cloud infrastructures.
VMware and blade servers and SAN round out the infrastructure giving the client the ability to rapidly scale computing and storage capacity.
Private Clouds
Of the four basic types of cloud deployment models: Private, Community, Public or Hybrid, Horizon delivers the Private Cloud.

Security. Physical security, network security and network access control. The FlexSafe Cloud utilizes leading edge security process and protocol from physical ATFP threat assessments to IDS, IPS and monitoring technologies.

Compliance. The FlexSafe Cloud lives inside SAS 70 Type II audited data centers. Horizon employs best-practices that facilitate FISMA, PCI and HIPPAA audits.
